With this project a contemporary artist gives a perspective on maritime history on the basis of an object or theme from the Maritime Museum Amsterdam.
I was mostly attracted to the Cartography & Curiosa exhibition of the museum. I did a drawing of a map of China in which you will find mythological creatures, inventions, important figures whose influence spread all over the world.
